USB Issues on D-Series docks/ports

Any word on this from Dell?  It has been over a month now since Dell posted the following:

{RE: USB Issues on D-Series docks Options

"Dell is investigating this issue, but has yet to determine a root cause and corrective action. Dell is committed to customer satisfaction and shipment of quality products. Once a root cause and corrective action have been determined, Dell will message a solution via support.dell.com."}

Also, my last email to Dell support was on 02/04/2004... as yet, no reply...  what's up with the customer service?

Ok, forget my previous message. Ihave installed now R70917.EXE  and the problem is solved. No more blue screens and Kernel dumps...

So R70917.EXE  seems to fix some USB problems.

R70917.EXE  did nothing for me. I installed it over BIOS A09 on a D600 and D/Dock and it made no difference: I have no USB, even with a powered hub. No recognition of Palm T3 cradle. Everything works fine when undocked.

An addendum to my previous post: I re-installed R70917.EXE  in an undocked state and rebooted undocked. When I subsequently rebooted, plugged it into the D/Dock without any USB devices attached, then plugged in my Logitech optical mouse, and it worked. However, it still does not recognize the Palm Tungsten T3 cradle.
