try uninstalling everything under usb in device manager then reboot your laptop.
windows will re-enumerate your hardware & hopefully cure your problem.
Alas no joy. What strikes me as odd, is that although I have replaced the USBSTOR driver with an older version, when the laptop reinstalls everything it's still the newer driver..
I can live with the fact that I have to go into disk management to view the device, but it's irksome. Oh and the drive (e:\) still shows up in Adobe Bridge! even when not plugged in and after a reboot.. Strange..
yeah. My laptop shows an e: also..... Good luck accessing it. I think that is where the "restore to new" data is held. I have tried the ctrl+f11 trick to see if it was there, but I came up with nothing. But it is there!!!!
