USB not recognized message
I have a inspiron 15 laptop and keep getting a message "USB not recognized. The USB device attached to this device has stopped working or windows doesn't recognized.." thing is there isn't a device attached to the computer when I get these messages.
I've updated the BIOS, driver updates etc and still get the message
Anybody got any ideas

Hi Hogwonguy,
Unplug the battery and the adapter. Press and hold power button for 10 seconds. Plugin the adapter and perform a Pre Boot System Assessment (PSA Diagnostics). To launch PSA diagnostics, please press and hold “Fn” key while turning on the system. Hold it down until the diagnostic starts. For more information click the link mentioned below:

If the test pass, it is a software issue and I would suggest you to perform system restore for the date the system was working properly. Click the link mentioned below for system restore:
NOTE: System restore will remove the applications installed after the restore point.
Also, let me know the complete system model and the operating system installed in the system.
