Unable to download Dell System Detect and run diagnostic
I recently replaced the motherboard on my Dell Inspiron 1545 (the new motherboard is compatible with this model). However, now I cannot download the Dell system detect and run the diagnostic to determine which drivers I need to update. In replacing the motherboard, have I voided any further support from Dell? The laptop is no longer under warranty.

Unless Dell replaces the motherboard your warranty would not continue.
Install Dotnet 4.0 and do the 3,593 micorosoft windows updates over 25 reboots This can take Several hours or Days if you are not there to restart it when it wants to DOTNET IS REQUIRED

The second link is helpful, but the first suggestion is highly impractical. All I want to do is download the dell detect software.
