Upgrade screen in E6500?

I have a Latitude E6500 with WXGA screen, part number X397H.  I hoped to upgrade the screen to WUXGA, perhaps part number RX392 (LTN154CT02).

It seems it will be necessary to upgrade the inverter and video cable because the number of CCFL tubes will increase from 1 to 2.  Is this correct?

Since both screens are 15.4 inches, will the replacement screen fit properly or will it need a whole replacement top half?

Before embarking on an upgrade (yes, both those parts will need to be replaced), if you really want the upgrade, it may make more sense to buy a complete used system -- they're not all that much more expensive than the price of the parts alone.

Thank you.

An eBay seller is offering a complete upper half for an M4400, WUXGA, but shipping from the US is expensive.  It will be a tossup, either buy that to upgrade the PC, or give the PC to a high school student.

Or if there's some reason the upper half of an M4400 won't fit the lower half of an E6500, please say.

It's not clear whether the parts will interchange -- the chassis are similar but may not be identical.

I bought an M4400 screen assembly on eBay.

The M4400 screen assembly worked perfectly with my E6500 base.

Too bad the screen is WXGA, not WUXGA as stated in the auction description.  The seller accepted the return request.
