Upgrading Dell Vostro 1014

Hi, I do have Dell Vostro 1014 laptop which has Core 2 Duo processor, 250 GB HDD, 2+2 GB RAM.

I want to upgrade my system with new hardware techs.. Do anybody help me in this case?

What all parts are available for upgradation?

Thanks in Advance....

You're at the max for RAM, so no upgrade there.  You can replace the hard drive with a larger capacity unit, or upgrade to a solid state drive.

Depending on the CPU you have, you may be able to install a faster Core 2 (but NOT the newer Core i) -- however, processor upgrades rarely make sense from a cost/benefit standpoint.  You just don't get enough of a boost to justify the cost.

Hello sagarpatil,

ejn63 brings up some valid points.  The easiest way to check your system for upgrade options is to go to the Dell support site and enter your service tag.  In searching the Vostro 1014, there are these options for upgrades:  http://accessories.us.dell.com/sna/PfydFeaturedCategoryResults.aspx?c=us&l=en&s=dhs&cs=19&mfgpid=202875&chassisid=8560&stype=2&Tab=
Please let us know if there is anything else we can assist you with.
