Using Sprint EVDO Network Cards on an E1505?

Hi,
I ordered a Sprint EVDO Network Card to be able to use their wireless broadband.

When I got the card (looks like a Type II PCI Card), I tried to jam it in the slot and it would not fit.

It now seems that slot is for a PCI Express card.

How can I make this work?

These appear to be the cards Sprint has available:

I got the PC-5740.

Your Express Card slot cannot currently take a EVDO card from ANY wireless provider.

So I can get the card from Dell and then get the access info from Sprint. Great

Well, IBM has had some for a while now. However, that does not help me.

What does help is the knowledge that there will be some ExpressCard EVDO soon.

Looks like I have to return this |0amn thing to Sprint.

It sure does look that way.  Here's the good news I was getting at:  you'll be able to buy the right device later this month or early June.

Toshiba is shipping a PCI-E EVDO-equipped laptop as we speak (according to the latest Network World magazine) and the ExpressCard devices should be hitting the market this month.

Or possibly directly from Sprint.

In short: There is no current available solution, but hardware DOES exist and is currently going through service provider testing and qualification with no indications so far of any problems. I've heard estimates of availability in 1-2 months.
