Hi,

Welcome to the Community. Open the folder in which the pictures are saved. Hold down ALT and press F, this should open up a file menu on top of the window, click on view, and set it to your choice ( large icons, details, tiles ).

Additionally to Dell Royans' suggestion:

If you want Windows Photo Viewer(for instance) to open instead of your picture editing program when doubleclicking a picture file you need to set it as your default program.

yes I did and it still has an icon instead of the picture.

Ok I did that and it still doesn't show the pictures it just has a Q and JPEG not the picture

Go to your picture folder. Click on the more options arrow in the top right corner.

 

Then click on the top section to change it. I use Largge icons.

Quicktime is a movie/sound format. Click on the link above and install.

Do you see the extension at the end?
