Virtual COM port for Infrared???
Is there a possibility to use the infrared port on my Dell Inspiron 8000 as an serial port, like COM1 or COM2? If not by hardware settings, maybe is there a possibility to 'Mount' the Infrared port as an Serial port? My computer has the latest BIOS upgrade installed, and is running Windows 2000 Professional-SP4. Please a little more information on this...

Used it to setup a standard modem to connect to a GSM/GPRS device using the IR port.
