Vostro 1000 Upgrading
Hi there,
I have had Vostro 1000 for few years now and did not want to go into getting new laptop. I have recently upgraded to 4GB of Ram with Win 7 x64. I was thinking about upgrading processor as well. My current CPU is: AMD Athlon 64 x2 Dual-Core TK-57 1.9 GHz. I was reading that Turion 64x2 TL-64 2.2GHz could be a good idea. Could someone confirm that? Or maybe other rather low price suggestions?

it should work, but will be barely noticeable as an upgrade - probably not even worth the effort.

No, not really. There's not much you can do with a system this old and low-end.
