Did you install the Dell notebook system software and chipset drivers? You need those before the Bluetooth will work.

Is the Bluetooth LED ON? If not, try pressing FN-F2 if there's no other switch for wireless on the case.

Probably the first question I should have asked - did the bluetooth work with the OS as it was shipped from Dell? If not, or you didn't try it, did you purchase the bluetooth option? It's not standard -- and the setting in BIOS will be there regardless of whether you have the option or not.

Did you order the bluetooth option - that is the question. It sounds like you ordered a basic model - which will not have bluetooth. Check your invoice or order sheet from Dell - unless you paid the $30 or so for it, you don't have bluetooth at all.
If so, it's relatively involved to add it to this model - a USB adapter is a much easier solution.

You don't have bluetooth - you would have had to specify it.
