WINDOW ACTIVATION KEY FOR DELL INSPIRON 7520

Question

My HDD on Dell inspiron 7520 had crashed, so I changed a new HDD ( Hitachi ). My laptop was preinstalled with window 7 home prem OA with the key number found under the battery. I also found another number ' X16-96072'. Is that the version of Win7 i have to instal to my Laptop. Because I has installed window 7 home premium ' X17-58997'. After install the X17-58997, I activate window but it said ' the Window 7 home premium product key you type is invalid for activation' and give me 3 option.... So my question is : 1. Does it mean that the product key I found under the battery not work with Window 7 ' X17-58997', and I have to re-install with Window 7 home premium ' X16- 96072'                                    2. If I still want to keep X17-58997, what must I do ? Please help me because Window give me only 3 days to resolve the problem be for they activate it automatically.

For the OEM license you should use System Locked Preinstallation to activate Windows 7 and not the key on the COA (which will require a call to Microsoft).
