Hi katola,

I would suggest you to uninstall and reinstall the mouse on the system. Please follow the steps mentioned below to uninstall the touchpad.

  1. Click on Start button.
  2. In the search box type devmgmt.msc and then press enter.
  3. Select the mouse device under Mice and other pointing devices or under Bluetooth and right click on it
  4. Now select properties.
  5. In the properties window, under Driver tab, click on Uninstall button.
  6. Check “Delete the driver software for this device.”
  7. You want to delete the driver click OK.
  8. After the uninstall finishes restart the system. Then reinstall the mouse drivers using the link below.

Please let me know if this helps.

I also purchased a WM713 Bluetooth mouse that worked from 9/15/13 until 11/23/13.  It just stopped working and wouldn't pair.  I tried to install and pair the mouse to another laptop and it still didn't appear on the device list.  Updating to the new Windows 8.1 drivers made no difference, so I called Dell technical support.  For 1.5 hours, we performed the same steps and even updated the wlan drivers, which made no difference.  They sent me a replacement mouse, 2-Day shipping.  Bad mouse.  Here's the call back number tech support gave me for Bluetooth troubleshooting - 800-624-9896 x4545205

regards,

This does not resolve my issues with the WM713. I am unable to discover is from any PC with Bluetooth. How can I reset or reflash the firmware on the WM713 to resolve this issue? I can discover other peripherals without any problems. Only this mouse is not discoverable.

I had the same problem.  I was using the WM713 for a month connected to my laptop without any issues, then one day the mouse lost connection. When I tried to reconnect it, my laptop did not even see the mouse.  I was able to pair a MS Bluetooth mouse to my laptop, so my laptop wasn't the problem.  And when I tried to pair the WM713 to other computers with Bluetooth, they couldn't see it either. About a month later, I finally found a solution during a Google search.  Someone else who had the same problem drained the battery on the WM713.  After recharging it, they were able to pair the mouse with their computer again.  It took me a couple of weeks to drain the battery and after recharging it, I too was able to pair the WM713 to my laptop.  For now, I will be keeping the MS mouse as a backup in case the WM713 loses connection again.

Well I'm glad I had the MS mouse as a backup, the WM713 lasted for a week before it lost connection again and it wouldn't reconnect.  I've read too many negative comments about this mouse, so I'm not going to try to get a replacement and will probably end up trashing it (luckily it was free with my laptop).

I'll try this solution, since I got the same problem, and it just happened after I recharged it.

Thanks for the tip.
