What RAM for Dell XPS 17 L702x with non 3D Nvidia GT 555M
I'm looking to upgrade my RAM on Dell XPS 17 L702x with non 3D Nvidia 3GB GT 555M.
So, the system came with 2x4GB RAM modules and only two slots are available. I can't find definitive answer as to what is the max RAM is supported. Looks like systems with Nvidia GT 450M officyaly support only up to 4 GB RAM per slot. How about systems with Nvidia GT 555M?
Also, has anyone actually tried to install 2x8GB RAM modules in L702x with only two slots? What was the result? What RAM did you use?

http://www.crucial.com/ will help you find what you need... Not sure if the link showed "crucial" is the site. It has a small download that runs and tells you everything you can upgrade on your laptop

thanks, but I've tried that already. it says 8BG (i.e. 2x4GB) is max. I wan't to know if anyone tried 2x8GB? The CPU (i7 2860QM) can handle 32GB, the question is can MoBo handle it?
