Perhaps it's problem with graphic driver?

Hi,

I would suggest you to check if the issue persists in Safe Mode.
To boot the computer in Safe mode, please switch on the computer and start tapping the F8 key which would take you to Advanced Boot Option screen. Using the up and down arrow key, select Safe Mode to boot the computer into Safe mode.

Please reply with the results.

Thanks and Regards

Unfortunately, this seems to be a problem with the OS. I will go for some time with no problem, then problems most every sleep period. I have spent many hours trying to solve this. The afore mentioned fixes have never helped.

I found that having a problem occurs usually when allowing the laptop to go into sleep mode via the timer. Have never solved this over MANY years. Have long periods of problems, then long periods of no problem. I found that when having problems with every sleep, it is better to manually put it into sleep mode. However, this is OK sometimes and not other times. Found that waiting for CPU activity to go low after normal operations helps a lot; selecting sleep when the CPU is still cranking away will give sleep lockup.

Because of the pattern of problems, I am convinced it's a Windows (Win 7) problem which changes sometimes after an OS update
