The recent windows update could be corrupt which is causing problems with the system's network. I do suggest you check "Update & Security" for any failed updates. Please type Windows Update Settings onto (Cortana) search box, and then click on Update History.

In "Network & Internet" settings, you can reset network and see if that makes a difference. Please click on link below:

LSUFAN51,

Thanks. However, I checked, and the long list of updates from 11/22/2016 all were installed successfully. This mirrors the behavior of the base, correctly-installed stuff simply not working with the hardware from when I bought the laptop originally. Still hoping for a fix for this.

Cheers,

Eric

Lastly.....

I'd suggest you update router firmware. Please click on link below:

I'm sorry to say this! But everything still the same! And a recent update even affected to my video card when playing some games like WoW or DOTA2! It only connects to wifi networks when the're extremely close

" Has anybody else found the right driver that fixes this issue for the built-in 802.11n WiFi adapter for the Inspiron 3543 "?

:emotion-2:

What is the WiFi adapter driver version on the system? Please type Device Manager Control Panel onto the search box, device manager, right click wifi card, and then Properties, see image below.By the way, I'm posting from a Inspiron 3543, windows 10. The image below is from my Inspiron 3453.

Greetings, as I stated earlier before there is no way to correct the problem as it's a hardware problem and no amount of software helps it, believe me I tried all the drivers even generic ones and ones from windows 7, 8 and 10 and they would all work good for a while and then mess up, my suggestion is go to a computer store and ask for a half height wifi card for your laptop and let them install it. (its simple to do it as the wifi card is housed in the same panel as the HDD and the RAM, if you want me to show you how to do it just ask but as for software there is no amount of software that works.)

As Rahd suggested, you can look into purchasing a new wifi card. If you decide to do so, you should contact Technical Support to make sure your warranty(If any warranty on system?) isn't affected.
