Hi liz,

Ejn63 has correctly mentioned, the hard drive has gone bad and it would require replacement. Let me know if your system is under warranty; will take it further.

It's time to order that Windows DVD and a new hard drive.  You can test further if you wish, but it won't change the fact that your hard drive has failed.

I'm sorry. Please ignore my last two replies, I just got to the test you are talking about. I am currently at 3% and it says "Error Code 0F00: 1332.

Msg: DISK - Block 309465326: Interrupt Request(IRQ) did not set in time

The given error code and message can be used by Technical Support to help diagnose the problem.

Do you want to continue testing?

  "

I am going to choose and if it does this again should I just choose ?

There is no point in testing further.  Your hard drive has developed bad sectors, which is why the operating system won't load and the system keeps looping.

You need a new hard drive.

Hi liz,

Unfortunately yes, the hard drive needs to be replaced. You may provide the service tag of the computer and the name as it appears on the account via private message (click my username and then click Start Conversation) so that I can check the warranty details.
