Windows NT Workstation Setup Product ID problem or is it a Dell Bios problem?
Hey,
I have a Dell Inspiron 3700 that I am trying to load a fresh copy of Windows 2000 onto.
At the Windows NT Workstation Setup page it says
'Please locate your 20 digit 'Product ID' and enter it in the space below.
Anyone know where I can get one from, I binned all the stuff it came with in error along with a load of stuff that was getting in the way.

What it is looking for is the CD Key that came with your Win NT Operating System. If WinNT came with your computer, you may have a sticker underneath with the CD Key on it. If you bought it separately, It will be on the plastic case or CD sleeve that the disk came in. If you do not have that, you may have to buy a new copy of an OS.
What you describe is not a BIOS issue.
