I must have missed something in your signature. What did you say your router was?

I've used both Linksys and D-Link routers. (Generally,) wireless routers are configured through web-based utilities. You have to physically connect your computer to a router, type the default network IP of the router (see your user manual) into your web browser, log in (use the default account and password -- also in your user manual), and then modify the SSID, encryption, etc. Essentially, find your user manual (hardcopy or online) and read through it.

You could connect the router to your cable modem, power up the router, and then let the computer find its wireless connection without making any adjustment. Not that there will be any problem with your use, but other people can easily use your network resources and even hijack your router electronically.

On the other hand, I've heard that AOL high speed doesn't support router use. If your cable modem must be connected to a computer (such as through a USB port), then your problem is beyond my ability to help.

I absolutely LOVE the 9300...

I have the TrueMobile 4350 Network Access Point. I am about to attempt to make it wireless. My biggest concern is the configuration portion. I guess I'll give it a shot.
