X300 --- ialmrnt5 driver running in loop

I am wondering if anybody is having problems with the almrnt5 driver running in an infinite loop and getting a blue screen.  If and how do you fix this.  I have updated all drivers from Dell and Intel.  I have an X300 with the extra 512 ram added running XP Pro.  Thanks, Jason.

I have the same problem with a Dell Dimension 2400 with Windows XP Home SP2.
It crashes when I try to play the Microsoft WMV-HD demo in the latest Media Player 10.
The blue screen talks about an endless loop in driver ialmrnt5.

I have same problem with IALMRNT5 driver looping on Dimension 2400, downloaded latest drivers but still same problem. I have only just install SP2 on WIN XP Pro, could this be the cause?

I think this driver is the problem:
Intel 845 G/GL Integrated Video v6.14.10.3762
http://support.dell.com/support/downloads/type.aspx?SystemID=DIM_PNT_P4_CEL_2400&os=WW1&osl=en&deviceid=2441&devlib=6

I guess someone will have to call Dell or Intel tech support and maybe they'll fix it for the next version.

I have checked intel's site and found that they have an update for this driver, released on the 2nd October 2004, I have installed this and still have the same problem. Given up and looked around the web, came across referrences to memory upgrade problem's. I had just put another 256Mb in my machine, tested the memory with MemTest utility and memory failed at first hurdle! Removed new memory and ran test again, passed OK. Also no looping process from graphics driver.......dodgy memory. I have returned faulty memory and awaiting replacement stick, hopefully this will cure looping process with servicable memory.

I am having the same problem with two different Dell's: one an Inspiron 1100; the other a 4500. The problem to iallmrnt5.dll is directly caused when I try to run a high resolution (780 x 1100 line) .wmv video.

Result, put new memory in and no problems, suggest downloading MemTest and checking RAM.

I got a solution provided courtesy of AGI, Inc. that worked for my XP PC without changing memory ....

Go to http://downloadfinder.intel.com/scripts-df/Product_Filter.asp?ProductID=865 and select the driver for Windows XP Home Edition.  You should download this driver:
Graphics Driver [WIN2K_XP14801.EXE]  (5938KB) 14.8.01 10/7/2004

Thanks Bruce2293, with this new driver it doesn't crash anymore.
I guess Microsoft and Dell don't update the drivers on their websites as fast as Intel does.
