XPS 13 2015 keyboard backlight timeout?

Hello,

Is there a way to increase value of keybord backlight timeout on the new XPS 13 2015?

I checked out in Windows Mobility Center and advanced power settings but I don't found anything and Quickset is not available on this laptop

I can just adjust light or turn off with F11.

Thank you for your help

Hi Scratouille,

Thanks for posting.

I'm unable to locate any documentation that the keyboard backlight timing can be changed.  However I do see that the light can be turned off or on, and bright/dim.  Here are the keyboard functions:

 XPS13 F Keys

Fn+F1 Mute Audio
Fn+F2 Decrease Volume
Fn+F3 Increase Volume
Fn+F4 Play previous track/chapter
Fn+F5 Play/Pause
Fn+F6 Play next track/chapter
Fn+F7 nada
Fn+F8 Switch to external Display
Fn+F9 Open search charm
Fn+F10 Toggle keyboard backlight
Fn+F11 Decrease Brightness
Fn+F12 Increase Brightness
Fn+esc Toggle Fn Key Lock
Fn+PrtScr Turn Off/On Wireless

Regards,
Robert

I just got one of these laptops and am wondering the same thing. I can't believe there is no way to adjust the timeout time for the keyboard backlight.

I was wondering the same thing. The backlight just goes out, which is very annoying. I searched everywhere but cannot find a setting for this.

This should be a standard feature. It's certainly something that macbooks do better.

Fn+F10 worked after my keyboard backlighting went off and I could not get it back. Thank you.
