XPS 13 9350 - USB3 stability issue when wifi in Access Point mode
Hi,
Similarly to http://en.community.dell.com/support-forums/laptop/f/3518/t/19983555 I'm having issues when WiFi is on, a few key differences though
- I'm using BIOS 1.4.13
- USB C is unstable
- USB type A on the right hand side (the one with powershare) is unstable in USB 3 mode
- Both USB type A ports are stable in USB 2 mode
- the left hand side USB type A port is absolutely fine even in USB3 mode
- It's particularly unstable if the wifi is in Access Point (hotspot) mode, even if I set the tx power very low (like 10dBm)
By "unstable" I mean that the USB 3 Realtek GbE found on the DA200 is going up and down all the time, same for the "plugable" USB3 GbE (ASIX AX88179).
Is there any solution to this problem?

Hi fkubrick,
Thanks for posting.
As was pointed out in the article you referenced, try turning the wifi 50% to 75%, make sure you have the latest drivers installed. If none of that is working, then you may want to contact Tech Support for additional assistance.

Hi,
Yes I've tried turning the power down but it didn't help.
I've tried to reach out to Dell support and they don't want to talk to me because I didn't buy directly from Dell, which is preposterous! As if the shop where I bought it would be able to deal with that...
I'm just hoping to attract a Dell engineer's attention here...
