We can only speak to the functionality of our driver. The fact that it does not work with an untested application is beyond our control. If none of the four drivers listed above offer both (rotation hotkey & work with your untested application), it comes down to one or the other, choose the driver that works in the untested application over the hotkey.
So is this a limitation from Dell itself to remove the screen rotation hotkey functionality with Intel's generic driver or not? * The generic Intel generic driver 21.20.16.4542 is newer then ours and thus has not been tested by us, so no, how could we "remove" functionality from their driver?
Can someone please confirm this? A user would have to do this. Dell is only going to test/validate our drivers.
At the beginning, I was pretty sure that this is not a limitation from Dell because it doesn't make sense for me, that's why I asked to Intel support first. But they said that system manufacturer can remove a functionality from their generic driver which doesn't make sense, because I'm talking about the latest generic driver from Intel (which is not released yet by Dell). So I asked in this forum to clarify it and now I can get back to Intel and explain your answer to them.
But, if you can help me to confirm that Intel's latest driver doesn't have the rotation hotkey would be really helpful for me. Because I've tested almost all available drivers for Intel HD Graphics 530 (From Dell, from Intel generic, from Windows Update) and I am quite sure that driver with version 21.xx.yy.zzzz doesn't have screen rotation hotkey. Just to make sure I have another proof to give to Intel so this is indeed their problem to remove the rotation hotkey functionality in their latest driver.
