Hi, if the game was properly installed and is legit, the issue is related to software, maybe a wrong configuration on the graphic setting on the game folder. if the game was borrowed from a different computer and just copy and paste there will be issues cause it will recognize the older computer settings and causing the wrong VRAM recognition. Try a clean Win reinstallation or get a different PSE 2012 Disk. Regards

ok try this for the game: put the cd inside the computer,
right click on the executable file "pes2012.exe", located at, C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs\Games by default
and then click "run with graphics processor" nvidiageforcegt 540 or the card you have.
for other games just right click and then select the nvidia graphics card in the executable file.
if you don't want to do this every time: right click on the desktop
go to nvidia control panel
go to manage 3d settings, then go to program settings,
then number 1 : click on ADD and select the executable file which is also C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs\Games . Select the executable file pes2012.exe,
number 2 select the nvidia graphics card
save the settings
i hope you can follow this before you set your computer on fire :)

For those of you still having problems, I have an article on Nvidia Optimus which may be found from the following link.
en.community.dell.com/.../19405027.aspx
Here is a method that you can configure the notebook to run only using the Nvidia GPU, not suggested if you plan on using the notebook under battery power only.
Selecting a Preferred Graphics Processor
Open the NVIDIA Control Panel
* Select Manage 3D Settings
* Under the Global Settings tab, select High-performance NVIDIA processor
* Click Apply
You can also configure PES 2012 or any other game or program to use only the nvidia GPU
Open the NVIDIA Control Panel
* Select Manage 3D Settings
* Click on the Program Settings tab
* In 1: Select a program to customize, click on Add
* Browse to the application/game and open the executable file by clicking Open
* In 2: Select the preferred graphics processor for this program, click on the tab and select High Performance NVIDIA processor
* Click on Apply and the settings will be saved
I hope that this helps out.

Do you have any problems running any other games? Have you tested with a benchmark program and see if it has problems. If the problem is only with PES 2012, have you checked to see what GPU it is configured for? Does it see the Nvidia GPU? Have you checked with Konami and see if they had any suggstions?
Konami's support site is locatedo on the following link.

When I begin the PES2012 game on my i72620 M, 8GB RAM, 2G GT 525M, I keep getting an error when I start the game " your video card does not meet the required specifications (GPU:VRAM 128MB). I am not sure why....

On your system when you bring up the configuration screen for your game what video card is showing? Does it read Intel or Nvidia? Have you configured PES2012 to run at High Performance in the Nvidia control panel for Optimus?
You can also configure PES 2012 or any other game or program to use only the Nvidia GPU
Open the NVIDIA Control Panel
* Select Manage 3D Settings
Here is a link that shows configuring PES2012 for Optimus
eins.my/tips-optimize-gaming-on-nvidia-optimus-mobile-gpu
Once you have configured to run using High Performance, check the game configuration screen and does it read Nvidia?
Searching the web it seems quite a few people are having problem with this game with Optimus. If the problems continue I do suggest contacting Konami support and see if they have any suggestions for Optimus.

Thanks Terry, the game configuration screen reads Nvidia but shows only 64VRAM when it is a 2GB VRAM. Does this mean it is a video card/PC issue ?

I was told because of a software error in the Nvidia video card the game PES2012 doesnn't recognize it. dell support say they can fix it but they want me to buy a 1year software support package as I just purchased their laptop. another $199 for just a small known issue is just not happening ! I like the xps zseries but it is turning out to be very expensive....
