XPS 2530 Microphone Disabled.

Hi ,

      From the past few days i am not able to record or havee a voice chat on my XPS 1530 Laptop, this used to work earlier, My Line in for the Mic is enabled and i am able to use it but the microphone is disabled the balance bar under the microphone when we get to the recording control through the Control panel, shows disabled i cant move it i can just click on the Select Check box but that will not make my mic work. any help is appreciated.

   I have already uninstalled and reinstalled the sigmatel audio Drivers, i am using XP on this laptop and as i said this used to work earlier with out any problems.
