XPS L501X 3 beeps, Error Code 2000-0411 Fix?
Hi,
I have a computer that is booting fine, but every once and a while it beeps 3 times and repeats when it is turned on, and doesn't stop until it is turned off. I also noticed the fan kicks on and off quickly at some points. I ran dell diagnostics.
RESULTS:
Msg: Error Code 2000-0411
Msg: Cables - Clock generator not detected
Any ideas could be helpful. I have replaced a failing hard drive and a bad battery so far. I also have cleaned out the cooling system and reapplied thermal compound. None of which has resolved the issue. I was thinking it may be the CMOS battery but the date and time stay the same. Any help would be appreciated.

Is someone from Dell support going to answer this questions? I am now having the same issue. Any help would be appreciated!

Try changing the CMOS battery first -- if that doesn't solve the problem, then it's the clock chip itself that's bad and the mainboard will need to be replaced.
