XPS M1710 LED lights problem

I just got my Dell XPS M1710, and everything is good except for one thing, the LED lights on various parts of the computer(not the 17 inch main screen). They are rather bright, and I would prefer it to be off. So I went into the BIOS and turned the settings to off. While I am in the BIOS, the LED lights turn reflect the settings i put on it. However, once I leave BIOS and start up and get to the desktop and startup programs start loading, the lights turn back on. I restarted the computer, went back into the BIOS, but the lights are off, and the BIOS settings also mention that they are off. But again, when I exit and startup, the lights turn back on. Is there anywway of keeping the lights off?

Sorry nevermind, I solved my own problem. I went to dell quickset, where it showed as the lights being on the whole time, I just turned this off.

I had the same problem and solved it the same way. However, you would think that turning them off in BIOS would override everything else or at least make that the default.
