XPS M1730 Audigy Advanced MB software re-installation issues
Hi, Searched the forums and found a fare few issues relating this piece of lame duck software. But wanted to post my issues and see if any others are having the same problems after rebuilding the system from Vista Home 32bit to Vista Ultimate 64bit. I put the CD and goes through the Activation key stage no problems get message back from creative website all ok and goes back to the software stage then fails telling me i don't have any drivers installed, the SigmaTel drivers are installed, running latest versions and no issues just Audigy software refuses to see them, the only thing i can think of is for some reason this software is not able to see 64Bit drivers, now this is what annoys me, XPS tech support tell you XPS1730 is not compatable with 64bit if thats the case why do Dell then have 64bit Vista/XP drivers on the support site and how come I've been Using Vista 64bit for a couple of years now even on my older XPS M1710.
So as i said i'd be interested to see if others are also experiencing problems with this paid for software update
Cheers
