XPS M2010 problem with JSPKR connection.
Hey all,
I really hope someone can help me. I've had to replace the motherboard and videocard on my XPS M2010 like a lot of people... I just finished installing the replacement parts and I ran into a bit of a problem along the way;
On the old motherboard there is a JSPKR connection for the laptop's speakers. It's a 4-pin connection that is on the underside of the motherboard (near the RAM and WLAN cards). The new motherboard I ordered from Hong Kong seems to be identical EXCEPT that 4 pin connection. It is now a lot smaller. I can't plug in that connection and now my computer says I have "No Audio Output Device Installed."
I pulled the wires out of the old connector, but I have no idea where to find a new smaller connector. I don't even know what it's called. I looked on FrozenCPU.com and found some 4 pin connectors, I ordered a couple that looked right but when I got them they turned out to be way to big. Does anyone have any idea what these connectors are called or where I can find one? Has anyone else had this problem? Also I need to know the way the wires line up as I seem to have forgotten, so anyone with an XPS m2010 if you could take a look I would be extremely grateful! Thanks.
