In within warranty, rush to DELL instantly

Go into BIOS setup - check is battery & AC adapter are listed by their type, anything other than "unknown".

If either is unknown, battery is not charged.

Take unknown battery ./ AC adapter to other identical laptop and do the same.

If both are listed in BIOs setup or battery is charged - get ready for motherboard gymnastics.

Otherwise replace battery / AC adapter - check warranty
