Rollox

How did you manage to solve the problem?

I had exactly the same symptoms and now my Insp 6000 cant start. I have tried the Dell Diagnostics and got the same problem: error code 0F00:0232.

In the technical support pages they recommend to create a Boot CD, but obviously I cant do that as I cant even start my laptop.

How could I start my Laptop in order to perform a Backup?

Any help would be much appreciated,

Thanx

the solution was unfortunately - buy a new disk. Seems to be a standard problem with this laptop.

Does anyone know which type of cable do I need to connect my old HDD of my inspiron 6000 to a new laptop USB port? I still have the HDD after it developed the problems mentioned above:

Blue screens and then a bad boot sector.

I ordered one but was not the correct one.

Thanks,
