c600 - will not boot
I have a c600 750MHz that I just bought. It was shown to me to boot with their RAM. They took their RAM out and I put one stick of 256MB pc133 ram in it from another c600 1ghz. It just turns lights on for 3 seconds and off again. I know this ram is good because it still works in the other c600. Any suggestions. Thanks
James

The issue is LOW DENSITY 16 X 8 chipset. Ram that works in both would be low density PC133 which is long gone. This is why PNY and other vendors state that PC133 is no longer backwards compatable to PC100 systems.
256 meg modules that have 16 chips on them 8 on each side in tiny squares are the kind that works. Cheap fake out high density ram with 4 chips per side is NOT GOING TO WORK EVER in the C600.
