cannot get Inspiron 8200 to boot from installation disk

I have gone into BIOS and moved CD to the top of the list on the boot sequence page but the machine still boots from the hd. Have tried two different Windows XP installation disks with the same results.

Any ideas?

Instead of hitting F2, hit F12 and a one-time boot menu will appear - choose the cd drive the XP cd is in.

Thank you John.. Your advice worked as you said. I am going to attempt a repair/install function to see if that will fix the original problem of the computer not booting as it's supposed to with the cd as the, supposedly, first item in the boot sequence. There are other issues that I am attempting to fix with the repair/install but you got me started in the correct direction.. Again, thanks.
