dell xps 15z screen replacement
I have a dell xps 15 z with a 1366X768 screen resolution. I understand that there is a higher resolution screen available that is 1080p and has a screen resolution of 1920 x 1080. Can I upgrade my system with this higher resolution screen with no problems? Will the connectors be the same as is in my existing screen?

The mainboard connector will be the same. You will however need a new cable for the new screen - the screen end of the cable will likely be different (higher resolution screens generally have more wires in the cable).

You'll need at least the screen AND a new data cable (the cable for high resolution screens isn't the same). As long as you order a screen known to be compatible with your system, that should be all you need.
Upgrading the screen voids the warranty on the system, if that's a consideration.

I currently have the i5 motherboard with the 1366X768 resolution screen. Will the higher resolution screen and cable fit on my motherboard? If it connects different then will it only work with the I7 motherboard for the xps?
