I dont quite get the f_gov thing(not sure if that was it)

I looked in doomconfig and could not find it, or am i supossed to add it

I'm not sure I can be clearer than my original explanation but I will attempt to clearify.

The fov command is necessary because even though you have a widescreen screen on your notebook, doom 3 is still only showing a field of view of 90 degrees. If you compare screenshots, without changing the fov, you will notice that what is in the left and right side of your screen is the same at 1280x800 compared to 1024x768. Games that support widescreen out of the box (like Farcry) will widen the field of view automatically when you choose widescreen resolutions.

The fov command will not be in the doomconfig.cfg file. That file is changed by doom 3 when you change settings and I believe that it will remove that line if you put it in there. You need to create your own autoexec.cfg file which will load ever time you start doom 3. I have explained how to do this in my first post.

Thanks, works great! Using only 100, 110 looks much too fish-eyed for me.
