error code-2000-0146

i am getting subject error code in bios diagnostic test.

does it mean hard drive is not working properly or it is missing from laptop.

my operating system crashed and error code appeared.

Hi rahulpr069,

Error code 2000-0146 indicates a possible hard drive failure. We can try reseating the hard drive and try running the diagnostics again. If the diagnostics result in same error, the hard drive needs to be replaced.

Please visit http://dell.to/10GaKAc and enter the Service tag of your computer in the box provided. Click Submit, and then click the Manuals & Documentation tab to find the laptop’s service manual.

Follow the instructions from the laptop’s service manual to remove and reconnect the hard drive. Run the diagnostics again and reply with the results.

Follow these steps

First i will suggest you to start your system in the safe mode by press and hold F8 keys until you get Advanced Options menu screen and then select the safe mode

-After this do the clean boot  of your system

-run system diagnostic online
