Hi whulan,

Welcome to the community.

It appears one of the applications installed on your computer is creating a conflict. Provided you are using a Dell computer, you should not get this message. In this case you can either try a system restore or try to clear start up and see how it goes.

In order to do system restore, you can try the following steps-

Go to Start, All Programs, Accessories, System tool and then system restore. Follow the prompts to restore the system back to the date it was working fine.

In case system restore does not fix the issue, you can try clearing start up by using the following steps-

Press and hold down the windows key on the keyboard and then press the “R” key. Once done release both the keys. This will open the “Run” window. In that window, please type MSCONFIG and hit enter. Click the “startup” tab and disable (by unchecking the boxes) all the startup items except your antivirus and quickset in case it’s there. Once done, click “OK” and restart your computer.

Let me know of the findings, Glad to be of assistance.

This didn't seem to help. It seems to be the Dell Product Registration Program that i generating the message. I also get a message that pops up regulary saying  "Service Tag in DSOE does not match the current system". This is on an Inspiron N4110 that is only a couple of months old. No modifications have been done to it.

Any ideas?

whulan,

What program are you trying to run?

Did you recently install/reinstall the operating system?
