graphics card stuck in PCI mode...

After checking the settings for my GeForce FX go5650 it appears to be running in PCI mode, obviously I want to change this to AGP but cant find anywhere in the BIOS to do this or a controller on the disks supplied with my inspiron 8600.

Any ideas on how to deal with this?

Cheers,

Keef

hmm, only times I've seen this was with a fresh install & the user failing to install the intel chipset driver.

Aha, I bought my laptop refurbished so its possible the OS was re-installed, should I re-re-install the OS?

is there anything I should be aware of when doing this?

thanks for the quick response.

no,a reinstall shouldn't be necessary.
just get the latest intel chipset driver from the intel website & run it.

I've had this problem before, a reformat fixed it.
