image screen size

Question

ok here is a new problem. I suddenly have a black border around my laptop screen and
i cant seem to get my screen size that i had back to the way it was. I have no Idea why this happened.

My blue background has about a 1/2 inch of black surrounding it and my Dell Inspiron background is even smaller just sitting within the blue screen.. any help this is very frustrating. Ive tried going into my control panel and none of the sizes are bring it back to what it was..

It would be more helpful to know a little more about your system type and Operating System, but try pressing the Fn+F7 keys to see If this will correct your problem.

Hello again Mike, I had my wife try the Fn+F7 button hold down she said that the screen flickered but that was all, so that option didn't work.  just wanted to keep you posted. thanks Rick

Hi Mike, Thanks for the reply. I have a Dell Inspiron 8000 laptop 850MgHtz  256 mg ram 15' screen, with Windows ME OS I'm not sure what else you need. What is the Fn button? thanks Rick

Hello rjarchitect, What's your resolution set to 1400 x 1050 or 1600 x 1200 ? (Right click on your desktop and left click on properties>settings tab). Thanks,

its shows 1280x1024 i know ir wasnt that before.  part of the problem appears to be fixed now the black band is on the righ and left side only each about a 1/2 inch wide thanks
