indicate light caps lock not on

Welcome to the Community. Do you mean that your Cap's lock key light does not come on, as its supposed to? If that's the case, have you tried using the Shift key to type in capital letters.

Try reseating your keyboard, using the below link. If this does not work, you will need to replace your keyboard.
