iPod players require you to use special software to transfer music to your iPod. You can use iTunes, or if you use Winamp, there is a plugin you can install. Unfortunately, the iPod players will not recognize files copied directly from Windows Explorer. Although, you can use this method to transfer files from one machine to another, like a standard USB storage device.
thanks phil,should have said already got itunes,apple have suggested going into config and changing settings,surely shouldnt be this much of problem,begining to think maybe the shuffle itself,any other adice much appreciated
