keyboard not working properly

i am using dell ins-5537 model 835.

Sometimes some of the keys are not working properly i.e when i press those keys another character is typed instead of the one imprinted on it but after using the PC for some time all the keys start working properly and i am also able to type all the characters. But when the keys are not working properly I can't even type some of the second alternate characters like the Indian Rupee sign and the Euro sign. I can't even type the backslash character.

the faulty keys and their errors are listed below:

KEYS                                 ORIGINAL CHARACTER           CHARACTER BEING TYPED               NOTE

Hi mdkashif_007,

The keyboard layout would have changed on your computer. Please follow the steps mentioned below to change it on your Windows 8 computer.

1. The first thing we need to do is launch the Control Panel, you can do this by pressing the Win + R keyboard combination and type in ‘Control Panel’ and click on ‘OK’.
2. Switch to the small icons view by selecting the drop down from the top right corner.
3. Select the Language option.
4. On the right-hand side you will see an ‘options’ hyperlink, click on it.
5. ON the next screen you will be able to add and remove keyboard layouts.
6. So add ‘US’ country under the ‘Input method’ section.

If you have Windows 7 or older operating system, please follow the steps mentioned from the link below.

Please let me know if this helps.
