It's difficult to do without knowing what model system you have and what OS you're running - but the software you need is called Dell Quickset -- if you've reloaded Windows yourself, you will need to download and install it (it is model- and OS-specific).

it's Dell Studio 1558; WIN 7 ; why would it shut off in the first place? I just want to see the little picture on the screen when I click that key ....
