keys are locked and not function right

Question

I have a INSPIRON 710m and the day 1 I already had a problem, the keys for the volume don't seem to work, all the keys with and extra number in it don't work at all...PLEASE help me coz I still need to take my laptop out instead of carrying my wireless keyboard and mouse around....   thanks....

You can run diagnotics on your keyboard .

Turn off the system

Press the FN key & then press the Power button to start the system in diagnotics mode

Test the keyboard in diagnotics mode & contact Dell support if the test fails.

Thank you for your help I did the test, it didn't fail but still not working!...I have a powerbook for 3 yrs now and I still have no prob with it.....This Inspiron 710 first day jus started the prob....probably will return and get my $ back.......
