\system32\hal.dll. error

I was wondering where i could download and burn a driver and utiliys cd for windows xp on my dell latitude d800 when i check the site under my laptop there's no download for it and i cant boot it to try to repair it . please help.

Hello Mark,

We cannot create the exact kind of  drivers and utility cd which is shipped with the computer. However we can download and install them on our computer from the following link.
http://www.dell.com/support/drivers/us/en/19/Product/latitude-d800
 If you want, you may download the files and burn it onto a cd.

However the issue that you are facing, that is \system32\hal.dll. error can be fixed. But you would need the Operating System disk for the computer.

what is the exact file i should download from the dell.com support site there are many options and i dont know the one to download to burn to cd.

If you live in the United States, Request Backup Disks USA if in another Country, contact Dell Tech Support in your Country.
