minimum processor state goes back to 100% after restart
Inspiron 1501 with vista home premium
Every time I restart the computer the minimum processor state is set to 100%. This makes it run hot and the fan runs all the time.
Changing the setting in:
Control Panel\Power Options\Edit Plan Settings
Change advanced power settings
Processor power management
Minimum processor state
to a lower value than 100% corrects the problem until I restart the computer. Then its back to 100% again. So right now I have to manually change the setting every time I turn it on or else it runs hot.
An ideas why the setting isn't staying as I set it?
