mouse/cursor takes over and goes crazy
I have an Inspiron 4000 with Windows 2000 Operating system and frequently, my cursor will zip to a corner of the screen and cannot be coaxed out with the touch pad or the little eraser type button in the keyboard. In order to regain control of the cursor, I have to shutdown the computer completely. Usually I have to restart the system a minimum of 5 times before it will act normal.

It is not necessary to post the same question twice to the Dell Community Forum. Many times there are multiple solution paths to a given problem and the multiple solutions may be confusing. Please refer to your other post.
