multitouch gestures not working

I have just got my new xps 13 and the multitouch gestures were working perfectly yesterday. I turned it on today and none of them will work now. Ive checked that the drivers are still installed and everything i can think of, how can i get them working again?

Ive found a solution. i was looking online for another solution and there seems to be a problm with the driver, cypress touchpad version 2.3.6.34. I read somewhere else that someone downgraded their drivers and it worked. So i then downgraded the cypress touchpad driver to version 2.3.6.25 and it worked. Its not very smooth but im just happy that i got it working

Hi,

Please try the following steps,

1. Click Start
2. Control Panel
3. Hardware and Sound
4. Devices and Printers
5. Mouse
6. Click on Cypress Track Pad

If Cypress Track Pad is not available, then download the utility from the link below.
If available, skip the below mentioned step and proceed to step 7,

Hi,

Thank you for your response. Let’s try few more steps to get the touchpad up and running.

Try uninstalling the drivers completely and reinstall a fresh copy of the drivers.

To uninstall the drivers,

  1. Click on ‘Start’
  2. Click on ‘Control Panel’
  3. Click on ‘Programs and Features’
  4. Look for ’Cypress Touchpad’
  5. Right click and choose ‘Uninstall”
  6. Follow the on-screen instructions
  7. Restart the computer

Then click on the link and download a fresh copy of drivers:

       www.dell.to/Nqn7uS

1.    Click on ‘Download File’
2.    Save the File
3.    Right click and choose ‘Run as Administrator’, install the file
4.    Restart the computer

If the above step does not work, then update the BIOS,

Note: Before updating BIOS please ensure that
*Battery is 10%> or >10% charged
*Adapter should be connected
*No external devices should be connected.
*All other programs should be closed and documents saved

www.dell.to/O9MB1L

1.    Click on ‘Download File’
2.    Save the File
3.    Right click and choose ‘Run as Administrator’, install the file
4.    Restart the computer

If these steps do not work, you can try to run a hardware test on the computer. To run the test,

  1. Click on ‘Start’
  2. Click on ‘All Programs’
  3. Click on ‘Dell’
  4. Click on ‘Launch PC Checkup’
  5. Click on Run Custom Scan
  6. Click on Mouse -> Run test

Note: This is an interactive test. You will be shown an image of the touchpad and buttons. Moving a finger on the touchpad will move cross–hair and depressing the buttons will light up the on–screen buttons in blue.

Keep me posted.

Ive tried the first two solutions and still no results. When i try the third solution it comes up with a different touchpad test from the one in the screenshot. It passes the test but it only tests "left and right click", "double click" and "click and drag" ive updated the dell pc checkup to the latest update but it is exactly the same.
