power adapter differences
What's the difference between the AC adapter - 65w, 19.5v and the AC adapter -90w, 19.5v for the 8600? does it charge the computer faster to have the bigger power supply?
Thanks!

You mean that it won't run full speed with the 65watt adapter or that it won't charge a battery and run full speed at the same time?

I think that perhaps he meant that the 90 watt adapter will charge the battery at a higher speed (quicker) than the 65 watt. The adapter has absolutely nothing to do with the speed at which the computer runs.

"That's what I thought. I didn't think that dell would sell an adaptor that wouldn't allow the computer to run at its stated speed. Although I wouldn't be suprised if they did...."
Nope, nothing sinister going on with Dell's adapter choices. Just faster battery charging albeit for a bit more $$.
