problem adapter or battery
Hello, I'm cristian, I have a dell xps 15 since some months.
I have a problem with the power adapter or battery. In the battery icon on the desktop appears this message : 0% available connected but not charging.
ok, the battery no charging, I use just the adapter but without the battery the computer is very low. Intel turbo boost work only with the battery, cpu remains stop to 2.20 ghz, before it run to 3.60ghz

Hi kezo,
Welcome to the Community,
First check in BIOS if the AC adapter is getting detected normally.Tap F2 on start up (Dell Logo).
Remove the battery and reconnect the battery. If possible try a different adapter (same watt) and see if the battery charges normally
Post back what you see in BIOS for AC adapter.
Thank You

Try a new Dell AC adapter. If that doesn't solve the problem, the mainboard needs repair or replacement.

Hi kezo,
Like ejn63 suggested AC adapter or the motherboard needs to be replaced. To confirm if its the motherboard or the AC adapter,if possible try a different adapter (borrow from someone who uses the same watt adapter).
If other adapter also does not get detected normally, than motherboard needs to be replaced.
Also please accept my friend request, click on my user name, click start conversation and private message me your system service tag number.I will check on your system details and try to find out what happened to your request for replacement battery or adapter.
Thank You
